Anathema To Release New Album On April 30th

Anathema’s brand new album ‘Weather Systems’ is due for release via Kscope on April 30th and is being hailed as the bands ‘best work to date’.

The pioneers of melodic heavy music originally formed in Liverpool back in 1990 releasing their first demo ‘An Lliad Of Woes’ and catching the attention of the industry. Since then the band have embarked on a remarkable musical journey, continually evolving over the ensuing years yet always remaining true to their original goal of creating forward thinking, meaningful, passionate and honest music.

‘Weather Systems’ is the much anticipated follow up to 2010’s ‘We Are Here Because We Are Here’ which musically raised the bar yet again… expectations for the new release were high but the band were not phased by this as guitarist Daniel Cavanagh explains:

“It feels like we are at a creative peak right now, and this album reflects that. Everything from the production to the writing to the performances are a step up from our last album… This is not background music for parties. The music is written to deeply move the listener, to uplift or take the listener to the coldest depths of the soul.”

In this way and more, Weather Systems is the sound of a band finding their voice and growing in stature, moving further along their artistic path with a truly stunning musical vision.
